I promised more pics of the feathered firespitter, and here (at long last) they are! I feel silly that it's taken me a month to do it, but, well...I leave my apartment when the sun goes up, and get back after it's gone down, so I had trouble finding time to take daylight pictures. ^_^;;

Details on his creation can be found here ( [link] ) I tried to show a couple of different angles and lighting, though it's still hard to capture the iridescent shine.

The fanned out red scales on his back are not a second pair of wings, they're just a fancy scale pattern. After meticulously arranging all his "feathers" in an anatomically correct(ish) fashion, by the time I hit the shoulderblades I was going to go mad if I didn't do something more interesting with them. So I did.
